‘Unnaipol Oruvan’ will arrive late

The movie was chosen to be released on a significant date that which matched with the day when the Universal Hero first stepped into the tinsel world as a kid. ‘Unnaipol Oruvan’ was decided to be released on 12th August this year, with much fanfare. But now the latest news is that the movie will be opening at a later date. It is due to the dubbing process which is taking much time. The delay might even push the date to September.

According to sources, Mohanlal and Venkatesh (in movie’s Telugu version) have requested to postpone the release after the Ramzan fasting period. It has been noticed that this religious occasion doesn’t favour the movies released at this time. So considering this reason, the movie might be released only after this period. Another reason is that the movie doesn’t want to get hindered because of ‘Kanthaswamy’ which is stated for 15th August release.

August 12 1959 is when Kamal Haasan first appeared on screen as a child artist in ‘Kalathur Kannamma’. And so ‘Unnaipol Oruvan’ was expected to be released on the same day to mark the ace actor’s Silver Jubilee in the cine industry. Now that the movie has been put off at much later date, the actual launching is yet to be finalised.

Well, this is something really disappointing for the great actor’s ardent fans..
